Loaded: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Drink Coffee

Through the first three decades of my life, I had never had a cup of coffee—and for the most part steered clear of caffeine. That changed in 2012 when I conducted a self-experiment and slowly introduced coffee and caffeine into my diet, all the while touring Chicago's local coffeehouses and roasters. The strange results are detailed in this feature, which I conducted over the course of two weeks.
